ARANZ Geo Announces Three New Senior Appointments

ARANZ Geo Limited, the developer of Leapfrog® 3D geological modelling solutions for the mining, hydrogeology and geothermal industries, today announced three new senior appointments.

Shaun Maloney, CEO, ARANZ Geo says, “We’re undergoing a period of high growth as the user base for our Leapfrog 3D suite of software solutions around the world increases rapidly. We’re very pleased to have attracted such high quality talent to support our new markets and global distribution.”

Richard Browning has been appointed Customer Services Director. In this role Richard will lead the marketing and technical services teams and joins the ARANZ Geo management team. He brings to the role a successful career as a Customer Service Director and Senior Operations Manager, including senior roles with O2 UK Ltd and EDF Energy. He has wide ranging experience incorporating policy and strategy development, operational recovery, organisational transformation and change, financial control and quality management. Richard will be based at the ARANZ Geo headquarters in Christchurch.

Nick Fogarty has been appointed Latin American Regional Director. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Nick is responsible for managing the development of key sales and marketing opportunities across the region with a particular focus on establishing and growing ARANZ Geo’s operations in Brazil. Nick was most recently Customer Manager at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise in Christchurch. In this role he worked with a portfolio of high growth Christchurch based technology companies to develop their capability for selling into offshore markets. Prior to this he was the Market Development Manager for Spain and Portugal for NZTE based in Madrid. Nick holds a LLB and BA from the University of Canterbury.

Stephen Alpers has been appointed Regional Director and is based in the Leapfrog office in Perth, Australia. He is responsible for all business activities in Asia Pacific and will oversee the growth and development in the regions Africa and North America. Most recently Stephen held business development roles with acQuire Technology Solutions in Perth and Calgary, providing Geoscience Information Management solutions for mining companies around the world. Prior to this he was a recruitment consultant in the mining and oil and gas industry as well as an exploration geologist at Arimco Mining. Stephen graduated from the University of Canterbury with B.Sc. Geology in 1991. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Energy Studies from Murdoch University in Perth.
