African Gold Announces Analytical Results of 23 Near Surface Holes from Mali Gold Project

African Gold Group, Inc., (TSX VENTURE:AGG) has reported the analytical results for 23 near surface (oxide) reverse circulation drill holes from AGG's Kobada, Mali gold project.

Near Surface (Oxide) Drill Highlights Include:

A total of 13 of the 23 holes were drilled into the hanging wall or the footwall of the deposit. These 13 holes have succeeded in identifying the lateral limits, or footwall and hanging wall (respectively to the west and east) of the mineralized envelope and will assist in calculating the volume of ore contained within the mineralized structural corridor.

"We feel confident that our 2010 drill program has achieved a twofold success in that we have succeeded in defining the width of mineralization within Zone 1 but also and of great importance, we believe this program has considerably improved both the tonnage and grade of the deposit at Kobada, Mali," states Kevin Downing, Ph.D., Senior Structural Geologist.

As reported in the Company's press release of November 04, 2010, "Since 2009, AGG has used Leachwell analysis with a 2-kg aliquot which significantly reduces the "nugget effect" previously encountered with the 50-g fire assay technique. In-fill holes have confirmed the width of the mineralization and Leachwell increased the continuity of the mineralization in the northern portion of the resource block. In addition, Leachwell has increased the grade of the mineralization, especially at low cutoff grades.

Re-logging of 2006 and 2007 AGG diamond drill cores indicated the presence of a significant amount of tension gashes perpendicular to the strike of Zone 1. Holes at an azimuth of N015°and N0195° were drilled to test the frequency of occurrence of the tension gashes and their grade. Quantification of the tension gashes could lead to an increase of mineralized tonnage," reports AGG Director, Pierre Lalande, P. Geo.

Under the guidelines of National Instrument 43-101, the qualified person for the Kobada Gold Project is Mr. Pierre Lalande, P. Geo. Mr. Lalande is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and has reviewed and approved the contents of this news release.

Sampling - QA/QC Program

RC cuttings are recovered at the bottom outlet of the RC rig cyclone into 50-kg capacity poly-weave bags to recover the cuttings from each 1 meter of drill penetration. Each one meter sample weighs an average of approximately 19 to 23 kg. Each sample is passed through a 3-tier Jones Riffler (1 to 8 split), the samples are riffled twice to obtain from 3 to 5 kg of cuttings which are put in a numbered sample bag. Each bag is sealed and dispatched to the ALS Chemex laboratory located in Burkina Faso. The remaining 14 to 18 kg of cuttings (field rejects) are stored in camp under tarps to protect the bags against the elements.

Original samples are analyzed using Leachwell on 2 kg of pulp. Leachwell is a bottle roll cyanidation procedure with the addition of a catalyst to speed up gold dissolution. A QA/QC program is in place and includes: blank (1 in 20 samples), duplicates (1 in 20), standards (1 in 20), external lab checks (1 in 30) and two different analytical procedures check (1 in 100).
