African Gold Group (AGG) has announced the analytical results for the 14 step out, near surface, reverse circulation (RC) drill holes. The company has drilled all the 14 step out RC drill holes at the southern part of the Zone 1 deposit, which includes the 43-101 resource of 740,000 ozs of gold.
The company has intersected 11.47 g/t gold over 1 m, 2.98 g/t gold over 3 m in KBRC11-037 and it has also cut 2.41 g/t gold over 22 m, 1.87 g/t gold over 14 m in KBRC11-029, 1.45 g/t gold over 9 m in KBRC11-034and16.56 g/t gold over 1 m in KBRC11-033.
Pierre Lalande, the director of the company has commented that AGG has extended the southern strike length by 200 m. The existing Zone 1 resource is enclosed in the strike length of 1,100 m. At present, AGG has extended the Zone 1 mineralized strike length for more than 3,300 m and stays open in both directions. This 2011 RC drilling contains only step out drilling upto a maximum depth of 100 m vertically. The RC fences are being drilled continuously on 100 m with spacing up to 1,200 m south of the recent resource. AGG drill tests the lateral targets that lie 5,000 m to the east of the Zone 1 deposit and also the extensions of the strike at the new gold discovery at Foroko North.
