Antioquia Gold has expanded the formations of the El Bolo and Guayabito along the strike and to the depth at the Guayabito deposit, which is situated in the Cisneros project, Colombia.
The direction of the 2011 drilling program was altered by the company to allow a better description of the host formations. The company has substantiated the presence of five en-echelon, sharply dipping, northeast trending, and dipping vein systems at the Guayabito deposit and is presently drilling a minimum of four further similar vein systems. At present, Antioquia has defined the occurrence of mineralized gold along 200 m long strike and to 300 m depth at the Guayabito. The nine vein systems stay open to depth and along strike. The mineralization, which has the style of en-echelon, will persist along strike and to depth. Further vein systems will be intersected when the exploration is performed continuously as experience suggests. Antioquia Gold has cut 112.3 g/t gold over 0.5 m and 16.21 g/t gold over 4.0 m in the hole GYB11-052 and 2.21 g/t gold over 27.2 m in the hole GYB11-057 during the 2011 drill program at the Guayabito.
The Vice President of Exploration of Antioquia Gold has stated that the company is delighted about the drilling results as this amalgamation of fresh formations at Chamuela, Papi and Soroma, and Guayabito offers promise for the subsequent underground exploration tunneling step.
