Aspire Mining Continues Exploration at Ovoot Coking Coal Project

Aspire Mining is successfully continuing the exploration program at the Ovoot coking coal project. It has identified a formerly anonymous coal seam structure region for some 4 km to the north-east direction of the present Ovoot resource region.

At present, five service drill rigs are present on the project location, wherein the company has been encountering hard clear coal continuously. By means of new additional exploration at the east, west and south, the discovery’s size will be increasing to more than 2 x 1 km.

The company has cut coal seams of 16.5 m from 389 m in the hole DH289, which has signified coal seams thickening to the southern part of the holes DH276, DH288 and DH283. This hole is a positive indication for the coal seams continuity to the south. This southern coal thickening at the Ovoot is encouraging to notice an analogous design some 4 km along the strike.

It has been observed that the discovered fresh coal seam is open towards east to the Hurimt prospect. The company is performing exploration to extend this fresh coal region and to examine the potential correlation with Ovoot’s identified resource.

Currently, Aspire has intersected coal in seven holes located in this new discovery region. It has intersected coal of 4.4 m from 319 m and of 3.2 m from 325 m in the hole DH288, coal of 5.0 m from 372 m in the hole DH297. Additionally, the company has cut coal of 0.9 m from 269 m, of 0.4 m from 271 m in the hole DH293, located at the Ovoot’s east boundary.
