Arctic Star Exploration Reports Remaining Assay Results from El Havila Property

Arctic Star Exploration has announced the remaining assay results of the primary sampling program conducted at the El Havila property in Colombia.

The company took 68 samples during the site visit for first pass evaluation. These samples included grab samples from the float and outcrop, which are rich in sulphide, grab samples that were collected in a geographical spread over the completely altered breccias zone, and limited channel samples. The company has encountered more that 0.1 g/t gold in 77% of the samples and more than 0.3 g/t gold in 68% of the samples and 21.24% copper, 15 g/t gold and 17.7% zinc from sample C15. Fire assay along with atomic absorption (AA) finish determined the gold analyses.

The mineralized system has been shown through ICP Mass Spec analysis that was performed on grab samples. It has included copper, gold, silver, bismuth, cadmium, zinc, molybdenum, Tellurium, and Rhenium. In some samples, the amount of silver, rhenium and tellurium are high. The company has planned for neutron activation analysis.

The company is encouraged by the assay results, though they were grab samples and were gathered semi-systematically over the complete mineralised region. The mineralization is present in an altered silicified breccia. High sulphide concentrations of veins and pods are present in this breccia.

Arctic Star will perform a more systematic mapping and sampling exercise before the month end. It has also planned for an aerial geophysics to outline the occurrence.
