Southern Silver Exploration has returned silver- rich mineralized intercepts from the first three holes from its 2011 core program at its Cerro Las Minitas Project in Durango Mexico. This project comprises a 425 hectare region, which was the topic of past small-scale mining and a large unknown gravel enclosed area.
The company has intersected 153g/t silver, 1.47% lead, 1.01% zinc over 6.8 metre in hole 11CLM-002, 382g/t silver, 6.25% lead and 1.62% zinc over 0.4 metre in hole 11CLM-003, 100g/t silver, 0.17% lead, 3.08% zinc and 1.37% copper over 2.1 metre in CLM-003.
Now, Southern has finished five holes around 1500 metres and additional 3000 meters in total in the proposed Phase I drilling program. The company releases recent results from the extensively spaced holes and the holes are planned to offer primary analysis of numerous different targets at this large polymetallic project.
The hole 11CLM-002 has examined the silver-rich polymetallic mineralization along the eastern border of the La Bocona Mine area and the hole 11CLM-003 has analyzed the northern edge of the projection in prominent copper and gold mineralization areas. Hole 11CLM-001 tested a geophysical target in the key intrusive.
This Phase I drilling has planned to drill at least five further holes that assist to signify the targets for definition drilling at historic mining areas and many extra targets from the 36 line-km surface IP geophysical program, which was finished recently on the property. Surface exploration work is being continued on numerous regional targets.
