American Manganese has obtained the results of seven drill holes from its 2011 drilling program at Artillery Peak Manganese deposit. The results of the initial 20 drill holes have been formerly reported on June 2011.
The company commenced this drilling campaign in April 2011 and completed in June 2011. This drilling was executed by reverse circulation drilling methods as the mineralization is uniform and distributed. The company has drilled a total of 10,607 m, totaling 86 drill holes.
The CEO and President of the company, Larry W. Reaugh stated that American Manganese continues to cut huge widths of low-grade mineralization and is continuing to seal the information gaps in the patented claims along Manganese Mesa’s northeast side. The mineralization continues to show the anticipated lateral continuity, which is increased by local high-grade intersections.
Wide mineralization occurs in the sedimentary beds that take the shape of paleo-alluvial fans dispersing out down the slope from several source vents at Artillery Peak.
ALS Chemex in Sparks, Nevada will conduct the assays and will announce the additional results when received.
The Artillery Peak’s present NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate contains approximately 92.8 mt grading 3.27% manganese as Indicated resource and around 107.2 mt grading 3.76% manganese as Inferred resource.
American Manganese is able to produce Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) on the anode and Electrolytic Manganese Metal (EMM) on the cathode. At present, the company is examining the EMD production to create the Lithiated manganese dioxide for the battery industries.
