La Quinta Resources Corporation (TSX VENTURE:LAQ) has announced that it has engaged SJ Geophysics of Delta, BC to conduct an electrical geophysical survey at its BlackJack property located in Elko County, Nevada.
The survey will consist of approximately 22,600 lineal feet (7 km) using pole-dipole time domain induced polarization technique. Historic data shows that reconnaissance sampling of outcropping veins and underground workings conducted in 2007 returned significant lead, silver, zinc, gold and copper values associated with polymetallic sulfides hosted in veins within Ordovician limestones. The survey lines are situated over and flanking the historic workings on the property. The IP technique is anticipated to be useful for delineating hidden veins and replacement style massive sulfide lead-silver mineralization in unexplored regions below and distal to the historic underground workings.
