Allied Nevada Gold has reported the drilling results from the current exploration at its Hycroft mine, which is situated near Winnemucca in Nevada. The company continues to intersect mineralization intervals over the normal resource grade by infill drilling results from the Vortex Zone.
It has intersected 2.6 g/t gold and 219.8 g/t silver over 22 m and 0.7 g/t Au(2), 158.0 g/t Ag2 over 125 m at the Vortex zone. The drilling program will be continued all through this year at the Hycroft mine using 5 to 6 drill rigs.
The Vice President of this Exploration program has stated that this infill drilling conducted at the Vortex zone continues to encounter high-grade gold and silver. The company has completed the first exploration tests at the targets, which is located outside the present resource indicating the resource extension potential. The mineralization at the Hycroft mine stays open to the west, north, south and to depth.
The company has collected the drill samples on-site and the geologists confirm those samples. Then the samples are shipped to ALS Chemex laboratories in Reno, Nevada. Gold and silver testing is performed on 1assay ton prepped samples and the gold is found using industry standard fire assay techniques along with an atomic absorption finish. Fire assay with a gravimetric finish finds gold over limits and silver.
