Manson Creek Resources has successfully completed the initial diamond drilling program at its Virgin Arm gold project, Newfoundland.
This 1,085 m drilling, totaling seven holes, has examined the Homer and Hank zones and analyzed the recently identified Lake Shore zone at the Discovery Ridge region. All the drill holes have cut single to several felsic intrusive zones, which have encountered 0.5 g/t to more than 10 g/t gold in the surface trenching samples. This is the first ever drilling program performed at the property and the company is delighted to announce about the completion of the drilling program before the time schedule and under the budget. The remaining of the budget will be used for Yukon’s Tell project to speed up the activities on the newly pronounced discoveries.
The company will complete the drill core sampling soon and all the samples will be sent to Eastern Analytical in Newfoundland, for examination.
The focus of the company is on the resources for advancing the Tell project along with Manson Creek’s geological employees performing additional reconnaissance and sampling currently at the property in the Yukon. The company is expecting for the phase I work results from the property at the earliest.
