Allied Nevada Gold has updated on the drill program conducted at the Hycroft mine in Nevada, during the second half of 2011.
The company has intersected 0.79 g/t gold and 130.4 g/t silver over 27 m and 1.13 g/t Au2 and 33.2 g/t Ag2 over 62 m from the mill material, 0.91 g/t gold and 24.0 g/t silver over 41 m, 0.90 g/t gold and 17.4 g/t silver over 84 m from the heap leach material.
The drill campaign in the second half of 2011 has the initial objective of gathering material for the condemnation drill program, extension projects and current metallurgical optimization work. Further information will be given by these drill holes in order to infill the regions for the resource model. The company will provide the Hycroft resource update by the end of the first quarter of this year. Major drill holes of 2011 will be included in the resource update.
Metallurgical optimization work for sizing of the mill equipment, testing the hardness of the ore and creating a flow sheet for the mill process has made use of the material collected during the 2011 second half. The company is collecting composites depending on the period and domain, wherein exploration of the region will be conducted to offer accurate yearly production profile of the mill operations. The compiled bulk samples are utilized to form huge concentrate for further optimization work and to offer samples to examine offsite.
