Strike Minerals has released the results received from hole HH-12-03 drilled recently at the Harkness-Hays property, which is situated in the Hemlo-Schreiber greenstone belt in Northwest Ontario.
Gold mineralized zone was encountered in hole HH-12-03 from 65 to 90 m beneath hole #1, and 25 to 35 m towards the western part of hole #2. Stock-work quartz veining, quartz veins, vein breccia bearing profuse pyrite featured in the encountered intersections.
The company observed visible gold in five sites including one 30 cm segment at 245.3 m containing considerable visible gold. It has not sent the visible gold for assaying, but instead has retained it. The drilling campaign was specifically designed to examine the gold mineralization continuity at depth beneath the adit exploration and historical surface trenching program at the Harkness-Hays mine.
Evaluation files that demonstrate historical work conducted at the property show that a variety of zones discovered on surface have not been drill tested beneath the property’s prominent ridge. The drill campaign has showed the expansion of the auriferous quartz veining vertically to a depth of at least 180 m under the ridge’s surface.
These preliminary exploration drilling program results show that the mineralized gold is constant and offers a significant prospect to expand the gold mineralized zones at depth and in lateral.
Strike conducted assays at AGAT Laboratories by means of fire assay-Trace Au-ICP-OES Finish. The company has almost prepared the mining plan and completed the budget needed to start mining at the Edwards #1 and #5 veins. It is negotiating with several prospective investors to secure a contract for production processing from Edwards and anticipates that it can reach a stable production before this year end.
