Summit Resources Limited (Summit) is an ASX listed corporation focussed on uranium exploration and mine development in the Mt Isa region of northwest Queensland. The Company also has extensive iron ore, base metal and phosphate exploration and development projects in the region.
In February 2007 Summit was the target of a takeover bid by Paladin Resources Ltd – Australia. At the close of the bid (1st June 2007), Paladin had gained control of 81.90% of Summit’s shares, Areva now control 10.46%, with the remaining 7.64% held by the public. Summit Resources Limited remains a publicly listed company.
