Rigaku ZSX Primus offers a high-speed quantitative determination of minor and major atomic elements, from beryllium (Be) through uranium (U), in a broad range of sample types having minimal standards.
The most recent instrument in Rigaku's ZSX series, the ZSX Primus continues the tradition of providing precise results in a timely and seamless manner, with unsurpassed consistency, flexibility, and ease of use to meet any challenges in today's laboratory.
The ZSX Primus features a 30 µm tube, which is the thinnest end-window tube in the industry for exclusive light element (low-Z) detection limits. Along with a highly sophisticated mapping package for detecting inclusions and homogeneity, the ZSX Primus enables detailed easy investigation of samples that offers analytical insights not obtained easily by other analytical methodologies. The available multi-spot analysis also helps to eliminate sampling errors in inhomogeneous materials.
EZ-scan helps users to analyze unknown samples without any prior setup. This time-saving feature needs only a few clicks of the mouse and a sample name to be entered. Along with SQX fundamental parameters software, it provides the most accurate and rapid XRF results possible. SQX can automatically correct all matrix effects, including line overlaps. SQX can also correct for secondary excitation effect by photoelectrons (light and ultra-light elements), varying atmospheres, impurities, and different sample sizes. High-accuracy is achieved using a matching library and perfect scan analysis programs.
The key features of the ZSX Primus are:
- Analyzing elements from Be to U
- Small footprint uses less valuable lab space
- Microanalysis to analyze samples as small as 500 µm
- Tube-below design is optimized for liquids and loose powders
- 30µm tube offers superior light element performance
- Mapping feature for elemental topography/distribution
- Helium seal means the optics are always under vacuum
