Sandspring Releases New Gold and Copper Drilling Results from Toroparu Deposit

Sandspring Resources has updated the new gold and copper drilling results of Toroparu gold-copper deposit in the Republic of Guyana, South America.

Sandspring had  announced an updated NI 43-101 compliant report on September 15, 2010, which was 2.64 million oz. gold and 262 million pounds copper grading 0.83g/t gold and 0.12% copper as indicated mineral resource. It also shows 3.42 million oz. gold and 216 million pounds copper grading 0.76g/t gold and 0.07% copper as an additional inferred mineral resource depending on the total drill hole database of 41,659m in 93 holes.

The company releases drilling results of TPD129 and TPD142 holes that contain a further 7156m of drilling, which is primarily planned to make perfect grade and tonnage parameters and to describe geologic features within the NI 43-101 compliant Toroparu gold-copper resource. The results of the 70,770m of drilling are received from Toroparu Property.

The ongoing infill drilling results confirmed the presence of high-grade "Starter Pit" area. It is expected that the preliminary mine plan and pro-forma discounted cash flow model shown by the NI 43-01 compliant mineral resource update and Preliminary Economic Assessment will start by the end of the first quarter of  2011.

The Toroparu Deposit opens mineralization continuously along the belt and to depth. Sandspring is  drilling at Toroparu and regional exploration at Upper Puruni concessions. Acme Analytical Laboratories has completed the analytical testing and reporting of measurable evaluations.
