Goldex Resources has contracted Kluane Guatemala to perform an impending 5,000 metre drilling program at its El Pato property in Guatemala.
At first, Klaune will drill 12 holes to verify the occurrence of significant grades and previously inferred resources, which were formerly identified on El Pato. Additionally, Klaune will find out the mineralization extension along the strike till the El Sauce, where high-grade gold was discovered.
It is anticipated that Kluane will begin the drilling program in the first week of May and expects to start the exploration in spring.
The location of El Pato gold vein target is in a budding gold area in Guatemala. Many junior resource and main mining companies are very lively in this region counting Radius Gold with its Holly-Banderas project, Escobal silver mine of Tahoe Resource, which includes silver having an indicated resource of 300 million oz equivalent of silver and Cerro Blanco property of Goldcorp that is located to the southern part of El Pato and has 1.3 million oz of gold as a proven resource.
