Velocity Minerals Resumes Geochemical Soil Survey at A-claims in Idaho

Velocity Minerals has recommenced a geochemical soil survey at its A-claims in the Orogrande mining district, Idaho.

The company has scheduled the 2011 geochemical survey to infill around the border of the former patented Penman-Homestake claim and to expand the area, which is surveyed in the southeast of the fundamental A-claims and therefore cover the anomaly revealed from the geochemical survey conducted in 2010.

The location of the A-claim group is contiguous to and south of Friday-Petsite project of Premium Exploration in the past Orogrande mining division, which is in central Idaho close to a region recognized for past gold production.

The management of the company is convinced that this phase II geochemical survey and a proposed geophysical survey will define the diamond drill sites that will target the structural zones in the past Badger Shaft region, which is a gold anomaly.

As the A-claims have been sparsely explored until recently, the area is well-known for several gold occurrences having some grades as high as 22.7 g/t gold. These claims entirely enclose two small patented claims and have the formerly mined Homestake mine.
