BonTerra Resources Encounters Wide Gold Intercept at Eastern Extension Property

BonTerra Resources has obtained the complete drilling results from the hole BA-11-10. The company has identified extensive gold intercepts in this hole of the Urban-Barry belt.

The thickness of this zone is 169.70 m and yields 0.73 g/t gold. The width of the extensive gold intercept is approximately 12.5 times more than the original gold zone identified in the hole BA-10-01.

There are high grade gold bands located in the huge zones. The company has intersected high grade stretches of 54 g/t gold over 0.70 m, 31.63 g/t gold over 2.30 m, 18.16 g/t gold over 4.50 m, 2.84 g/t gold over 31.00 m, 1.97 g/t gold over 57.20 m.

Moreover, BonTerra has examined numerous samples more than 1 g/t gold at the down hole between 440 and 508 m. It has currently defined gold mineralization to a vertical depth of 480 m. The extension of the mineralized zone by 115 m outlines further tonnage for the expected resource estimation.

The company is relentlessly developing this mineralized zone opening to the down dip, east, west and south. It has recently encountered a sample of 114 g/t gold at depth in the southern part, an additional area formerly unheard of hosting gold. The assays of the further seven drill holes are pending.

The President of BonTerra has stated that the company is delighted to cut off a zone, which bears gold that is almost 170 m thick, and deepening these gold zones demonstrates the property’s blue sky prospective. When more information is added t into the three-dimensional model, BonTerra’s geological team better comprehends the property. This higher data encounters the thickest gold intercept.

The drilling target at the Eastern Extension property is the smoky quartz layers with sulphide mineralization. Sulphides normally contain mineralized zones for 1-10% and can be more than 30% in the vicinity. Changes are common in carbonate, chlorite, silica, sericite and tourmaline. The amalgamation of tourmaline, quartz veins, sulphides and alteration types is ultimate for the gold mineralization in the region. Sphalerite sited in the quartz layers appears to be connected with the high-grade gold zones at the property.
