Heavy duty diamond drill bit with stainless steel shanks for use with older D-2801 and current Model D026-C Pomeroy core drills. They are 1" I.D., 1 1/8" O.D. and 8" long and cut holes which fit most paleomagnetic orienting devices, including those sold by ASC. Bit has two small notches at 180 deg., cut about 1/3 of the depth into the diamond crown.
The BSS-1E bit is equivalent to and replaces the Pomeroy BSS-1 and BSS-1P bits, which have been discontinued.
