CME key-type hollow augers have a patented coupling design. This unique key-type design permits the augers to be reversed in the hole without coming apart. The augers are easily connected by sliding the joints together and inserting a cap screw. Uncoupling only involves removing the cap screw and sliding the joints apart. An “O” ring seal is provided at each joint to make the augers water tight.
CME hollow augers are lightweight and easy to handle, yet are able to withstand the most rugged drilling conditions. The outside diameter is held to a minimum hole size resulting in less cuttings to shovel and less torque required to advance the augers in the hole.
