The chemically treated fabrics has a very high resistance to heat and fire, and is thus ideal for the manufacture of clothing used by infantry and tank personnel, as well as any other application where fire retardant qualities are desired in the fabric.
These fabrics can also be treated with an infra-red coating to lessen the reflective signature when infra-red optics are used under war conditions. Anti-fungal treatment is also an option, especially during operations when very wet and humid conditions are commonly encountered.
