Multi-Resolution Micro-CT System - TESCAN CoreTOM

The CoreTOM micro-CT system available from TESCAN integrates the standard field of view of a medical CT system with the high-resolution imaging performance of micro-CT systems for laboratories, all in a single instrument.

The CoreTOM is capable of imaging a wide variety of sample sizes, from complete cores up to 1 m (~3 ft) in length down to millimeter-sized micro-plugs or drill cuttings at a spatial resolution of 3 μm.

Continuous imaging, rapid scan times, and exclusive software tools facilitate real dynamic CT, thereby enabling researchers to carry out uninterrupted flow, tension, compression, and other time-dependent investigations. These features render the TESCAN CoreTOM a suitable platform for multi-scale imaging, spanning from core to pore.

The TESCAN CoreTOM fitted with a high-powered microfocus X-ray source allows high sample throughput and rapid dynamic imaging with temporal resolutions less than 10 seconds for a complete 3D acquisition.
