Merrex Gold Reports Further Drilling Results from Siribaya Project

Merrex Gold has announced the further results of 17 holes from the diamond drill campaign conducted at the Siribaya gold project, West Mali.

The company has obtained and processed the assay results of 34 diamond drill holes. It drilled around 6,500 m totally, previous to the starting of the cyclic rains and about 3,500 m of drilling is remaining in the proposed 10,000 m campaign. Merrex will drill the remaining 3,500 m in the 1A substructure in order to follow up the former DD and RC cuts.

Merrex has announced the results of the 17 great holes, wherein eight holes are in the zone 1B resource region and eight are located immediately to the Zone 1B’s southern region and one hole at the 1A trend. The company has encountered extensive gold mineralization, which includes 1.33 g/t gold over 21 m in the hole SRD11-112 of the Zone 1B. it has intersected 1.34 g/t gold over 3m, 0.52 g/t gold over 3 m and 0.65 g/t gold over 5 m in the in the hole TY-DD-11-42 at the 1A substructure.

The CEO and President of Merrex Gold, has stated that the 2011 diamond drilling is returning positive results continuously and this drill campaign will add significant number of ounces to their future resources. The company is excited with the 1A substructure results, and will follow up the remaining 3,500 m of drilling at the previous strong DD and RC intersections in the 1A substructure area.

Merrex-IAMGOLD made a joint venture project with IAMGOLD for earning 50% of the Siribaya gold project.

This 2011 diamond drilling for planned 10,000 m has included infill drill program in the zone 1B NI 43-101 resource region, extension drill program to the zone 1B’s northern and southern part and focused the drill program at the 1A substructure area in the inferred north expansion of the zone 1A, with an aim of increasing the current NI 43-101 resource calculation.
