Standard Graphite has declared that it has started the exploration program at the Carheil, Sandy NE, Sandy Lake and River Graphite properties.
Currently, Aeroquest International is conducting an aerial TDEM survey that is being flown over the four properties, which are situated in North Quebec. This survey results will help appraise the level of the prominent occurrences and also support in the fresh mineralization discovery.
According to Chris Bogart, Standard Graphite’s CEO and President, the company is delighted to commence the phase I exploration program at the graphite properties’ large portfolio in Quebec. It is expecting the results from the aerial survey, depending on the recent EM survey conducted in Ontario.
The aerial survey has included flying over around 930 line-km at low altitude for estimating the bedrock conductivity (TDEM) and magnetic properties. The airborne survey has been specifically designed for optimizing the reactions from potential conductors and for distinguishing between the different forms of conductors. The aerial survey used the TDEM instrument, which may be more powerful than the one used for the ground test. The company is expecting the aerial survey results during March. These survey results will be considered to be significant for the future drilling, prospecting and trenching programs in Quebec for 2012.
