The Thermo Scientific™ AnStat-430 online slurry sampling and XRF elemental analysis system provides high-availability, continuous elemental analysis for a dedicated slurry stream in a processing plant. Whether monitoring feed, concentrate, or tails streams, the AnStat-430 offers real-time assays that help operators maintain stable flotation performance and respond quickly to process upsets.
Key Features of the AnStat-430 Include:
- The Thermo Scientific™ MEP-400 Multi-Element Probe, with improved X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) technology, provides safer, more accurate, and better resolution elemental analysis for bulk commodity slurries compared to the MEP-300 (and all predecessors)
- An air-cooled, low-power X-ray tube that does not require radioisotopes
- A sophisticated, large surface area, energy dispersive Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) enables precise measurement from calcium to uranium without the need for cryogenic cooling, ensuring dependable, trouble-free operation throughout a wide range of in-plant environmental conditions
- High-speed digital pulse processor
- Very low head loss simplifies sampling design and architecture while removing sample pumps and decreasing total plant head needs, resulting in optimal energy utilization during the plant's life
- Exceptional availability, allowing for consistent, precise measurement and sampling around the clock
- Depending on the flow rate, users can use one-, two-, or three-stage sampling to provide highly representative proportional stream sampling all the way to the end: an environmentally hardened cross-cut sampler for precise accounting samples
- The AnStat-430 and Thermo Scientific™ SamStat-30 Representative Slurry Sampling Stations use the same final-stage cross-cut sampler for all process volumetric flows
- The only slurry-wetted moving components are in the final stage stirrer and cross-cut sampler, allowing for low maintenance and trouble-free operation over time
- Simplified integration into existing process plants
A variety of extra options are available for the AnStat-430 to ensure optimal performance for any application:
- Pebble screen to remove large particles from cyclone overflow and restore them to the grinding circuit. This option is recommended as a backup to a primary oversize and tramp material screen situated upstream of the primary grinding circuit product
- The best sampling conditions for particle size measurement are found in the upwelling/reverse flow sampling zone
- Pneumatic dump valves
- Vacuum Filter for composite (shift) samples
