The Thermo Scientific 5014iQ Beta Attenuation Monitor is engineered to measure PM2.5, PM10, PM1, and TSP levels in ambient air. Particulate matter is collected on a filter tape that automatically advances to a clean section, minimizing the need for operator attendance. This tape advancement is governed by user-defined settings—such as mass accumulation thresholds and flow rates—and operates in a continuous pattern to reduce particle loss.

To maintain accuracy, the instrument continuously monitors sampling conditions and adjusts the control system to apply heat only when needed. This targeted approach minimizes moisture interference while preserving volatile aerosols, ensuring precise and reliable measurements.

This advanced monitor includes the following features:

  • Continuous measurement
  • (EQPM-0609-183) equivalent monitor
  • Enhanced ethernet connectivity
  • Enhanced user interface and ePort communication software
  • Long-term unattended operation
  • Low detection limit, high accuracy, and resolution
  • Remote data access
  • US EPA approved PM10 (EQPM-1102-150) and PM2.5
