ValOre Metals Bolsters Technical Team
ValOre Metals has strengthened its technical staff with consulting exploration geologists and technical/corporate advisors Robert A. Brozdowski, PhD, P. Geo., and Robert Carpenter, PhD, P. Geo. The duo brings a total of more than 55 years of exploration experience, a track record of major discoveries, and a direct know-how with PGE-enriched ultramafic systems.
ValOre Metals has also hired an in-country Project Geologist, Thiago Diniz, M.Sc., P.Geo., to help in the implementation and management of the forthcoming 2020 exploration programs.
The team joins Colin Smith, MSc, P.Geo., who supervises New Project Review for ValOre Metals.
2020 Drill Program Update
ValOre Metals has made an agreement with Servitec Foraco Sondagem SA (Servitec-Foraco)—a drilling company—to finish a 6,000-m core drill program at the Pedra Branca project. Furthermore, mobilization of crews and a drill rig will be initiated immediately, with drilling anticipated to be started in three weeks for the two-phase, fully permitted program (Phase 1 and Phase 2 totaling 2,875 and 3,035 m, in that order).
ValOre and Servitec-Foraco COVID-19 Protocols
Servitec-Foraco and ValOre Metals are closely tracking their business and operations preparedness plans, since the health and safety of contractors, staff, and related communities is very important.
As part of the safety measures, both companies have adopted self-assessment checklist, daily temperature monitoring, screening processes, and issued directives with respect to social distancing to assure a safe setting for operations. Servitec-Foraco has an elaborate procedural guide on hygiene and conduct to be implemented on a day-to-day basis both during and after the working hours.
Such decisions strengthen the companies’ aim to prevent COVID-19 transmission among its contractors, staff, and the communities living close to drilling activities.
