Resolution Minerals Ltd has announced a major new gold discovery from its maiden drilling program at the Golden Gate Prospect, part of its 100 %-owned Horse Heaven Gold-Antimony-Tungsten-Silver Project in Idaho, USA.
The first diamond hole (HH-GG25-001C) returned an exceptional intercept of 189.2 meters at 1.30 g/t gold from 34.1 meters, ending in mineralization and confirming the potential for a large, intrusive-hosted gold system similar in style to the nearby Stibnite Gold Deposit, located just 6km east.
Highlights
- Discovery hole returns 189.2 m at 1.30 g/t Au from 34 m, ending in mineralisation.
- Includes multiple higher-grade zones: 12.9 m at 2.32 g/t Au from 94.4 m; 70.8 m at 2.24 g/t Au from 128.8 m.
- Gold begins near surface and remains open in all directions.
- Phase 1 drilling completed: 10 holes for 2,770.6 m across a small part of the Golden Gate target area.
- Further assays pending from the remaining nine holes.
- Additional drilling permits being prepared for a 50-hole follow-up program.
Resolution’s CEO of US Operations, Craig Lindsay, said the initial result confirmed the company’s confidence in the scale and potential of Horse Heaven:
“Delivering a discovery intercept of 189 m of continuous gold from just 34 m depth which bottoms in mineralization in our very first hole is a tremendous result.
What excites us most is that we’ve confirmed a large intrusive-related gold system, the same style of system that hosts major deposits regionally, including Stibnite only 6 km away.
With assays pending from the 9 remaining Golden Gate holes, several of which show the same style of mineralization in visual core, we are building strong momentum. Golden Gate is only one of the multiple standout targets at Horse Heaven, and we believe this discovery hole is the first step in unlocking the broader district-scale potential of this Project.”
District-Scale Discovery Potential
Horse Heaven lies within a key US critical minerals district rich in gold, antimony, tungsten, and silver, aligning with US government priorities to strengthen domestic supply chains.
Preliminary geological analysis suggests the Golden Gate discovery is consistent with an Intrusion-Related Gold System (IRGS), a deposit style capable of hosting multimillion-ounce systems such as Fort Knox, Pogo, and Donlin Creek in the United States, and Telfer and Hemi in Australia.
Next Steps
Resolution has completed Phase 1 drilling and is awaiting assay results for holes HH-GG25-002C through HH-GG25-010C, expected over the coming months. In parallel, the Company is:
- Applying for permits to expand drilling at Golden Gate;
- Progressing environmental studies to support a maiden drill program at Antimony Ridge; and
- Advancing metallurgical test work on stibnite-silica vein samples from Antimony Ridge.
