Guerrero Exploration Announces Drilling Progress at Cerro Azul Property in Mexico

Guerrero Exploration has provided a progress report from the Cerro Azul property, Guerrero in Mexico.

In February,  2011 field exploration has begun at the Cerro Azul property and the program includes geologic mapping and rock or soil sampling of two target regions. The set of targets is present in the San Marcos-Loma Coyote-Las Parotas, which is in the concession’s southern part and Piedrillo-Cerro Azul and Tinoco, in the concession’s northernmost division.

The company has visited those two targets during current field work and decided to begin exploration at the targets in the south half part of the property.

So far, Guerrero has gathered 1,500 soils and 94 rock samples from the target. It has sent 1,122 soils and 77 rock samples from the total samples to the lab. Terraspec handheld multi-spectral scanner will test numerous hand specimen sized samples and obtain some polished sections to demonstrate the mineralization aspects in Cerro Azul property.

Approximately 95% of the planned soil sampling areas have been finished so far and maps around 65% of the planned area at the targets in southern group. Guerrero’s subsequent stage is to conclude the mapping or sampling of the southern region of Cerro Azul property and to commence mapping and sampling of soils-rock at Tinoco.

The anomalies are found through the pending assays, which need trenching and an IP survey to describe drilling targets.

The property must reveal the potential to identify and make near surface resources through preliminary geologic mapping and rock or soil sampling of two targets, with the exploration model.
