Amarillo Gold has completed the definition drilling program at the Mara Rosa project. The complete drilling program has planned to improve the definite gold resource at Mara Rosa from the inferred to the calculated and indicated categories and includes 31 drill holes, 8524 metres in total.
This drilling has concentrated on the material present in the hypothetical Whittle open pit shell, which is optimized for a US$1000 per ounce gold value. Amarillo is conducting new infill drilling that increases drilling depth from prior 24,500m to 33,024m.
The company has released the drilling results for the 15 holes from the definition drill program. It also reports the results of further four holes and therefore results for 19 drill holes are received.
Amarillo Gold has asked the Acme laboratory to accelerate the assay processing for the remaining 12 holes. The NI 43-101 complaint resource estimate will be created on the receipt of the assay results. This new resource estimate will turn out to be an essential part of the current pre-feasibility study.
