WorleyParsons Wins Contract with Vale

WorleyParsons an Australian engineering company and part of a consortium with the Canadian engineering and construction group SNC-Lavalin issued a statement on Monday saying that it had been awarded a contract to provide Vale’s S11D processing facility with engineering services.

The Brazilian iron ore company requires WorleyParsons to provide engineering for the modular ore processing facilities besides procurement support, and construction management. It will also supply key project management professionals to Vale.

The Brazilian company Vale is the second largest diversified metals and mining company in the world. WorleyParsons did not disclose the value of the contract that it had signed with Vale as part of the consortium with SNC- Lavalin.

SNC-Lavalin will provide services related to infrastructure and overland conveying facilities, besides civil works and electromechanical assembly. They will also collaborate in procurement, construction and project management support.
