Unigold has received encouraging results from the current drill campaign being carried out at the Candelones project, which is situated in the company’s 22,616 ha Neita Concession.

Candelones Drill Holes with IP Chargeability, Neita Concession, Dominican Republic

The company intersected 2.48 g/t gold over 48.7 m and 1.72 g/t gold over 89.0 m in hole LP29, which was specifically drilled about 100 m towards the southeastern part of hole LP28, and encountered 3.81 g/t gold over 77.0 m in hole LP28. Results from drill hole LP29 show that the mineralized zone is exposed down-dip towards southeast and stays strong. It intercepted 0.73 g/t gold over 122 m, 1.24 g/t gold over 14.8 and 1.20 g/t gold over 19.4 m in hole LP31A, which is drilled about 100 m towards the northeastern part from the hole LP29.

Unigold’s CEO and President, Andrew Cheatle stated that the holes LP29 and LP 31A continue to show the excellent continuity of extensive mineralization at Candelones project. Both holes were drilled as two deeper holes, as part of the current 100 m step-out drilling campaign. The company is now focusing to drill near-surface areas of the wide mineralized system that stays exposed along strike towards west and at depth.

The company has drilled six holes in the Candelones Extension deposit and is waiting for the results from holes LP 32A, 33, 34, 35, 36, and 37. Currently, three wholly owned drilling rigs are continuously functioning at the Candelones Extension project. The company has collared most of the 31 holes on a grid over a region of about 400 x 500 m. The present drilling campaign is specifically designed to expand and outline mineralization towards the southern and western parts.

Unigold is working a mineral resource identified at this fresh discovery.
