Orex Minerals Announces Four Diamond Drill Hole Results from Barsele Project

Orex Minerals has reported the assay results from four diamond holes drilled on the Avan Zone located at the Barsele project, which is situated roughly 600 km towards the northern part of Stockholm, and 40 km towards the southeastern part of Storuman. With the drilling of four holes, the company has completed the phase I drill program in the Avan zone.

Gary Cope, President of Orex Minerals, commented that the drilling at the Barsele Avan zone is in the initial phase. The company believes that the mineralization exists in a complex sequence of lenses, which are vertical to sub-vertical and parallel to sub-parallel.

The company is confident that continuity of grade will exist along the lenses’ trend and there is a possibility that the combination of these lenses will be at depth. The Avan zone will require more drilling. Apart from continued drill program at the Skiråsen Central and Avan zones, the company is planning to finish a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) at the Central zone in future, together with definition drill and continued exploration program at its fresh gold and base or precious metal target areas in the broad land package. Fire Assay (FA) techniques have been conducted for Hole 1, Hole 2, Hole 3 and Hole 4 by ALS Minerals Lab.

Hole 12AVA001 returned five different intercepts along with mineralized gold, including 0.77 g/t gold over 4.0 m, 0.50 g/t gold over 5.0 m, 0.64 g/t gold over 10.0 m, 0.75 g/t gold over 21.4 m, and 0.65 g/t gold over 15.75 m.

Six different intercepts along with gold mineralization  were interceptedin hole 12AVA002, including 0.91 g/t gold over 1.3 m, 1.73 g/t gold and 0.82 g/t gold over 3.0 m, 0.51 g/t gold over 3.5 m, 0.44 g/t gold over 6.9 m and 0.70 g/t gold over 13.25 m.

Hole 12AVA003 intersected four individual intervals with mineralized gold, including 0.89 g/t gold and 0.74 g/t gold over 1.0 m; and 1.24 g/t gold over 3.5 m.

Hole 12AVA004 returned four individual intervals as well as gold mineralization, which includes 1.45 g/t gold and 0.92 g/t gold over 2.0 m. The company has planned to expand this hole during the resumption of the drill program.
