Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation Division and BASF Construction Chemicals Europe Ltd. have signed an agreement to join forces to foster further expertise on sustainable sprayed concrete.
This cooperation follows Atlas Copco’s acquisition of the MEYCO Equipment sprayed concrete manufacturer in Winterthur, Switzerland, from BASF. The acquisition was finalized yesterday with the closing regular process.
Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation Division is a global leader in mobile underground mining and tunneling equipment. MEYCO Global Underground Constructions is a global leader in sprayed concrete for mining and tunneling applications.
Joint research and development from Atlas Copco and BASF will enforce MEYCO’s leading position in the development of continued spearhead sprayed concrete technologies and applications for a global customer base in underground mining and tunneling.

Through MEYCO, Atlas Copco’s Underground Rock Excavation division will provide a unique package of technology, equipment and application expertise to the market.
