From humble beginnings, Diamond Coring Co., Inc. was founded in 1988 by Anthony Cappello, a 23-year-old construction laborer with a borrowed core drill and a dream to be self-employed. Its sole employee provided outstanding service to customers throughout the Chicagoland area. This outstanding service approach led to its first acquisition in 1994 of Accurate Coring Co., an industry pioneer, with a 35-truck operation that dominated the Midwest sawing and drilling market from its inception in 1973. The hard work continued, and Greencastle Ltd. and its operations in Indiana were acquired in the year 2000. Concrete Cutting Edge, a Chicagoland operation was acquired in 2007 to bolster its interior service revenues.
Through acquisitions, hard work and persistence, we have distinguished ourselves as a leader in the Great Lakes region.
In 2008, we acquired Mass Grinding & Grooving/McLake Construction, a company that has revolutionized the concrete profile grinding and airport runway grooving industries with the design, engineering and manufacture of high speed grooving and grinding equipment. This industry segment expands our capabilities to an international scale having completed projects across the globe.
While we possess the resources, capabilities, bonding and qualifications to perform the largest contracts, we consider no job too small. We believe that every project deserves our utmost attention and our commitment to provide outstanding service.
