Federal Government Denies Approval to Taseko Mines to Proceed with Prosperity Mine Project

The Federal Minister of Environment has announced that Taseko Mines Limited (TSX: TKO) has not been granted federal authorizations to proceed 'as proposed' with the Prosperity mine project. Taseko has stated that they will evaluate their options for moving the project forward once they have had further discussions with the Federal and Provincial Governments.

Canada Rejects Taseko's Planned Gold/Copper Mine

The Canada Government has rejected the $815 million proposed Prosperity gold and copper mine to be located in British Columbia. This decision comes despite the plans of Vancouver based miner Taseko Mines being approved by the provincial government.
