Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. announced that its subsidiary AMFIRE Mining Company, LLC has completed the previously announced divestiture of substantially all of its assets to Rosebud Mining Company.

The transaction included total consideration of approximately $86 million, including $75 million in cash and the assumption of certain liabilities.
