U.S. Rare Earth Minerals, Inc., Today, President Michael Herod announced the discovery of large deposits of diatomaceous earth (diatomite) on several of the Company’s mining claims in Panaca, Nevada. Samples are being tested for mineral content and purity. Diatomaceous earth is 100% organic consisting of comprised fossilized remains of a type of hard-shelled algae.
“This is a tremendous discovery and potentially a great economic benefit to USMN. These finds appear to be massive and easily harvested,” stated Mr. Herod. He further mentioned that USMN will seek a partner to mine, develop and market the diatomite. Although diatomaceous earth mining is a compatible venture for us, for the foreseeable future USREM will focus on our rapidly growing market demands for EXCELERITE® products.
