Commencement of Drilling at El Quevar Silver Project by Golden Minerals

Golden Minerals Company has started a drilling program at its 100%-controlled El Quevar silver project situated in Salta Province, Argentina.

The drilling was started by the company in late February 2019. For this program, about 15 holes, totaling approximately 3000 m, are expected to be drilled. Drilling is expected to end in late May or June 2019. The primary assay results are expected to begin within a time span of one to two months.

The drilling program is aimed at expanding the size of El Quevar’s defined resource. Previously, Golden Minerals discovered many potential targets that lie outside the existing Mineral Resource area but are within the extensive 57,000-ha boundaries of El Quevar. The resource defined at present contains more than 45 million ounces of Indicated silver resources at an average grade of 482 g/t Ag and envelops only the Yaxtché deposit area.

We believe there is an excellent opportunity to further expand the project’s size and economic significance through additional exploration. We look forward to receiving the program’s first assays within the next couple of months.
