The crew and drill started moving to the site of the project—which is located in Northwestern Ontario—on 19 August 2020. Drilling is expected to start soon. The drill program for exploration has been engineered to investigate two areas of interest.
The figure above illustrates the locations of the drill holes.
Mineralization found at the Marathon deposit is identified as being conduit-related, which serve themselves as the feeder channels to the Marathon Deposit.
These conduits or channels exhibit the potential to present both massive and disseminated sulfide mineralization, including varying copper-palladium ratios and metal tenors.
In addition, there is a possibility of finding extreme palladium enrichment, characteristic to the Western Horizon, as a result of upgrading through numerous pulses of metal-rich magma that reaches the Marathon Deposit by passing through the feeder channels.
The northwest extension of the Western Horizon and the MT anomaly exhibit the potential for mineralization of higher grade that could be mined prospectively using underground techniques.
We are looking forward to drilling the previously untested MT anomaly as well as the northwest extension to the W Horizon.
