Capstone Mining has confirmed the continuity between two prior high grade intercepts in the Mala Noche Footwall Zone or MNFWZ at the Cozamin Mine.
The discovery of the section of high grade copper/silver mineralization in October had led to more exploration and the effort has paid off for the company.
Operations in the Cozamin Mine in Mexico had been suspended after an accident. The interim period between mining operations has been used to confirm the 150 meters dip extent of high grade mineralization in the area of the MNFWZ.
The company has found that the gold values in the new deposit are even higher than what were typically found in the Cozamin Mine.
As per company officials another underground drill to confirm evaluation of the high grade zone will be undertaken in 2011. The statement said that the high gold values in the drill hole U240 were particularly encouraging as they had values higher than what was typical for the Cozamin mine.
