Alberta Star Development Announces Phase III Drilling Program at Landrose in Saskatchewan

Alberta Star Development Corp. (TSX VENTURE:ASX)(OTCBB:ASXSF)(FRANKFURT:QLD) has announced that the Company is preparing for a Phase 3 drilling program at Landrose, Saskatchewan in early 2011.

The program is expected to consist of three (3) in-fill wells targeting the McClaren formation situated on the Company's Landrose heavy oil property. The Company is awaiting formal licensing approval and is expected to commence drilling, once permitting has been received and drilling rigs have been secured. Subject to successful drilling, production from the in-fill wells is expected to augment the Company's daily production currently being attained at Landrose. Since August 2010, the Company drilled and completed 6 (2.25 net) heavy oil wells with a 100% drilling success rate at Landrose, Saskatchewan during it's Phase 1 and 2 Drilling Programs. The Landrose Phase 3 drilling program will offer the potential for incremental production from the Company's current heavy oil production base.

The Company has working interests in a total of 6 (2.25 net) wells situated in Landrose, Saskatchewan that are currently producing an aggregate of approximately 430 bbls/d (155 bbls/d net to the Company) of heavy oil.
