QMC Quantum Minerals, Cassius Ventures Complete Five Drill Holes at Carrot River Project

QMC Quantum Minerals and Cassius Ventures have completed five drill holes on Carrot River project, where one (P6) is on the Bullet gold target, three holes (P1, P2, P3) on the Bay Whopper gold zone and one (P12) to analyze the Geotech air-borne TEM anomaly on Nickel zone.

The companies have planned to drill a total of 900 to 1000 metres to examine the diverse targets on the property. Cassius Ventures has taken the option for Carrot River Property.

The company drills Bay Wopper holes P1, P2 and P3 to cut the shear zone exposed on the surface where prior grab sampling intersects 10.16 g/t gold. All three holes have cut the shear zone. Assay results are still pending.

The Bay Whopper zone is shown as three small hand trenches and hangs over a perceptible strike length of approximately 100 meters in a lowland area broadly enclosed by overload and swamp. Mineralization is present in sheared, silicified volcanics and sheared chert containing rich pyrite and arsenopyrite. Initial samples have encountered up to 10.16 g/t gold in the areas of Trenches I and II. Chip sampling has intercepted 1.4 g/t gold over 4.5 meters at Trench II. Trench 1 has returned 178 ppb gold over 8 meter and 280 ppb gold over 4 meters. Hand Trench 3 is situated around 75 meters east, along Trenches 1 and 2 strike. Seven successive 1 meter chip samples gathered throughout the trench intersects between 39 ppb and 1550 ppb gold and 640 ppb gold on average.
