Quantum Rare Earth Developments Begins Drilling at Elk Creek Carbonatite Project

Quantum Rare Earth Developments has started drilling operations at the Elk Creek Carbonatite project in southeastern Nebraska.

The company will conduct the drill program on Elk Creek Niobium deposit and Rare Earth Element (REE) mineralization, which was  formerly found in the eastern side of Elk Creek Carbonatite project. Quantum has commenced the expansion program based on the drilling plans, which was proposed previously. Currently, the company expects to finish at least 5,000 m in numerous drill holes.

Quantum will examine three sites in minimum for the Elk Creek deposit. The planned in-fill drill holes are to improve the resource group for the deposit and to offer adequate substance for future metallurgical test work.

The process of drilling the first hole is in progress and the company has intersected the east side deposit. It has cut 0.71% Nb2O5  over 267m under historic drill hole EC-11 and 0.57% Nb2O5 over 49m in between vertical holes EC-27 and 0.65% Nb2O5 over 150m in EC-30. The next drill holes will step-out from REE mineralization.
