First American Silver Enters into Definitive Lease Agreement for Mount Jackson Property

First American Silver has signed a Definitive Lease Agreement with Anthony A. Longo and Pyramid Lake to acquire the Mount Jackson property. The company has purchased 153 BLM claims and has formed a project covering about five square miles.

The location of this Mount Jackson project is in an extremely under explored division of the Walker Lane bend zone situated to the south of Goldfield caldera in Nevada. In 1987, Pegasus Gold has conducted reverse circulation (RC) drilling for about 15,000 feet totaling 44 holes and has identified gold and silver. Two individual mineralized zones are described in this drilling, which is present in siltstones of the Cambrian Harkless structure.

The mineralization of precious metals is occurring in fairly dipping tabular bodies of vuggy quartz druse and is related to rhyolite domes. The maximum mineralized grades obtained are 0.03-0.10 opt gold, .05-3.0 opt silver. These grades are normally present where the Harkless siltstones are instantly proximal to the rough contact having Cambrian Emigrant limestone. Many old mechanism and mineralized surface protrusions can be identified on the property for over four square miles area. Early drilling in this region decided that corrosion of the host rocks happens at depths beyond 400 feet.
