Metals Creek Resources has reported the assay results from its 588 m diamond drilling program at its 85% owned Tillex Copper Project, which is situated in Currie Township, Ontario.
The company has intersected 14.995 g/t silver, 2.952% copper over 14.80 m and 6.78 g/t silver, 1.43% copper over 66.30 m in hole TX11-01. It has also cut 5.454 g/t silver, 1.27% copper over 43.20 m in TX11-02 and 1.38% copper over 10.14 m in TX11-03, where major quartz feldspar porphyry dike material is identified. Mineralization is collared in both TX11-01 and TX11-02 holes. The company has planned to infill the limited drilling regions in the historic Tillex Copper Deposit, through the three holes. In 1973, Westmin Resources had initially identified this deposit and offers enhanced geologic understanding of the deposit’s core portion. The mineralization includes stringer and scattered chalcopyrite in a diverse order of graphitic argillite, feldspar, andesite and dacitic tuff porphyry.
This Tillex deposit shows near surface copper potential continuously with significant mineralization that is within 150 m of the surface. The location of Kidd Creek base metal mill of Xstrata is 45 km from the Tillex deposit. The company has sent all split core samples to Accurassay in Ontario.
