Canaco Resources Releases Assay Results from Handeni Project
Canaco Resources has reported the assay results of the latest diamond drill holes from Magambazi and Magambazi Central at its Handeni project in Tanzania. These assay results identified the thick mineralization continuity at the strike and up dip of MGZD001, the discovery hole.
The company intersects 9.89 g/t gold over 2.8 m in the hole MGZD162 at Magambazi Central and extends westwards to the Keel Zone mineralization including 7.32 g/t gold over 2.8 m and 3.93 g/t gold over 6.2 m in hole MGZD131. It also cuts 4.89 g/t gold over 7.7 m in the hole MGZD172 at Magambazi.
Canaco drilled the hole MGZD172 at the Magambazi section, which is 40 m north of the discovery hole and the recent report based on the intersection of 3.02 g/t gold over 57.0 m at MGZD152 has showed strong shallow mineralization and has authenticated the grade and structure continuity in that surface region. The hole MGZD131 cuts the Western Lode in a 50 m westward step-out from the formerly outlined mineralization.
The company drilled the hole MGZD162, which intersected the Main Lode mineralization in the Keel Zone position that is 50 m down dip in MGZD147 and cuts 3.02 g/t gold over 19.0 m.
The technical management of Canaco has recommended that further definition drilling will be needed to contain proper assessment, because of the intersection of new mineralized formations at Magambazi. Canaco has included a seventh diamond drill to enhance the ability of the Magambazi drill program.
