Argentex Mining Reports Further Drilling Results from Pinguino Project
Argentex Mining has announced additional drill results from the recently concluded 2011 exploration at the Pinguino project.
The location of this project is in the Santa Cruz province of Argentina. The drilling program included 19,800 m totaling 206 holes. The company has reported the results of the 6,015 m drilling, 67 holes in total.
The company continues to extend the silver-rich shallow mineralized zones, due to the encouraging analytical results from further drilling at the Tranquilo fault. These recent results identify huge mineralized intervals, which covers high-grade silver at the center of the Tranquilo fault system. This Tranquilo system is a main regional fault, which transects the Pinguino property and is considered to be the tactical geological controlling formation in the region.
The President of the company has stated that the Tranquilo fault is one of the chief gold-silver mineralized structures at the Pinguino property. The 2010 and 2011 RC drilling has focused on the shallow mineralization and continues to discover outstanding intersections of high-grade silver. These drilling results have extended the Pinguino resource significantly and the company is waiting to receive an updated NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate at the earliest.
