Puma Exploration has acquired additional private land, which is adjacent to the location of the previous mine facilities at its Nicholas-Denys silver project, New Brunswick.
It has purchased the private area totaling 7.4 ha to get road admittance from the national highway to the main Haché and Shaft deposits.
The company has become the solitary proprietor of 22 ha of surface rights by means of this acquisition and can construct the essential infrastructure to expand the mineralized lenses when required and with no delays. Crown Land joins the company’s formerly-held private properties covering the Haché and Shaft, through this recent acquisition.
Puma has commenced the summer exploration at Nicholas-Denys and is progressing a major stripping and trenching program. The company will test a target, which is a concurrent geochemical and geophysical (IP and InfiniTEM) silver-lead-zinc soil anomaly over 3.1 km of strike length. Additional targets contain 12 geophysical anomalies, which were discovered from the InfiniTEM 2010 ground survey and enclosed favourable structural features of 3.5 km from the Shaft to Henry lenses. Several geophysical anomalies are connected to the surface soil geochemical anomalies. The company has sent the samples to the laboratory to examine for the base and precious metals and is waiting for the results.
